This year the College will be closed for the holidays from Friday, December 22, 2023 through and including Monday, January 1, 2024.
The three work days, December 26, 27, and 28 will be made up by full-time staff, non-classroom faculty, and classroom assistants by working extra hours during the Winter/Spring recess or Spring semester, or by charging available leave time banks if they have sufficient leave accruals. Employees who fail to make-up or charge the required number of hours must contact the HR office after Spring Break so that an appropriate adjustment may be made to their leave bank(s).
Full-Time Staff, Non-Classroom Faculty, and Classroom Assistants:
Full-time staff, non-classroom faculty, and classroom assistants are being asked to
complete the Work Schedule Make-Up Form and forward it to their supervisor by December 15, 2023.
Supervisors will review/approve all forms then retain them for future reference.
HR WILL NOT BE COLLECTING THESE FORMS GOING FORWARD.
Part-Time Staff, Non-Classroom Faculty, and Classroom Assistants:
Part-time staff, non-classroom faculty, and classroom assistants who would have worked their regularly scheduled hours during this time shall make up the hours unless the employee chooses to forfeit their regularly scheduled work hours for that week. These part-time employees may make-up the hours through January 18. For example: A part time employee scheduled to work 4 hours on December 27 and 4 hours on December 28 may work an additional 8 hours any time through January 19, after consultation with his/her supervisor. Those hours worked should be reflected as “make-up” time worked on the timesheet for the actual days worked.
